Why?

I feel for parents of three and four-year-olds that get barraged with the question, "Why?"  We seem to have within us a need to know that exhibits itself at a very early age and follows us through life.

There is one place in our lives that we feel awkward or guilty when asking, why.  that is when we ask God, "Why?"  We don't feel real comforable challenging the Creator of the universe to have to explain Himself to us and yet we are wired to want to know the answer to why.

Everyone has questioned God at one time or another.  The word why appears over 500 times in scripture, with the most famous why being, "My God! My God! Why hast Thou forsaken me?"

So what is the answer to our why?  What will bring peace to a troubled mind or heart?  You already know the answer because it is the most profound theological study ever attempted.  It is so complex that theologians have debated it for centuries and yet so simple that my grandchildren understand it and embrace better that I.  L O V E !

One of my favorite Bible commentators has said that, "God never leads His children otherwise than they would choose to be led, if they could see the end from the beginning, and discern the glory of the purpose which they are fulfilling as co-workers with HIm."

It all comes down to whether we choose to uperate by fear or love.  Love leads to faith, fear leads to dis ease.  Love will cast out fear if you will let it.  Why?  Because that's Who God is!
